Subrox D: The ground source heat pump that combines heating and hot water storage in one unit.

The Subrox D draws heat for your home from the ground. A 178-litre hot water tank is integrated directly into the unit. This means you only need one unit for heating and hot water. The Subrox D is available in two output sizes up to 13 kW. It is suitable for the renovation of an existing building, replacing an old heating system, and for new buildings. Passive cooling can be retrofitted if required using an external cooling module. Cooling integrated directly into the unit is available with the Subrox D C with tank and cooling.

The benefits at a glance

  • Heating and hot water from one unit
  • 178-litre hot water tank integrated
  • Two sizes for a heating load from 6 to 13 kW
  • Requires just 60 × 62 cm of floor space at a height of 1.85 m
  • Energy efficiency class A+++ (scale A+++ to D) at 35 °C and 55 °C, even with radiators
  • Quiet operation inside the house, no unit in the garden
  • Natural R290 refrigerant with safety concept

Warm rooms and hot water. With energy from the ground.

Just a few metres below the surface, the ground maintains almost the same temperature all year round. In winter, it is warmer than the air; in summer, it is cooler. The Subrox D uses this heat for space heating and hot water. It is installed inside the house. Nothing can be seen or heard outside.

Heating and hot water on 60 × 62 cm.

The Subrox D contains a 178-litre hot water tank. A separate tank next to the heat pump is not required. The entire unit has a footprint of 60 × 62 cm and is 1.85 m high. This means it also fits into small utility rooms or a niche in the basement. If you also want cooling, the Subrox D C offers passive cooling integrated directly into the unit, together with the tank.

Also suitable for existing buildings. With A+++ at 55 °C.

From 1 kWh of electricity, the Subrox D generates around 5 kWh of heat, and around 4 kWh with radiators*. For space heating, it achieves energy efficiency class A+++, at both 35 °C and 55 °C flow temperature. In many existing buildings, the existing radiators can therefore remain in place.

*Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP), determined under standard conditions, at 35 °C / 55 °C flow temperature:

  • Subrox 8 D178: 5.72 / 4.31
  • Subrox 13 D178: 5.45 / 4.21

In your own building, the value depends, among other things, on the heat source, the heating surfaces and how the system is used.

Safe inside the house.

The Subrox D is filled with the natural R290 refrigerant (propane). To ensure safe indoor installation, it features an integrated safety concept. A sensor monitors the unit around the clock, and an automatic test checks the safety technology every day.

Easy to control. Also with your own solar power.

The Subrox D automatically adapts its heating output to demand. The temperature can be adjusted on the touch display, in the myUplink app or via voice control using Alexa and Google Home, even when you are away.

  • Use solar power: With a PV system, the Subrox D preferably heats using your own solar power.
  • Use low-cost hours: With a dynamic electricity tariff, it runs when electricity costs less.
  • Heat according to the weather forecast: The control system adjusts in advance for colder days.

More output or cooling integrated into the unit

For buildings with a higher heating load, the Subrox is also available with 18 kW heating output. Hot water is supplied by a separate tank. Passive cooling integrated directly into the unit is available with the Subrox C and Subrox D C.
